Dusk and Summer

Well it is safe to say that my break is coming to a close. I have had three full weeks of rest and relaxation. It has been really nice, but my small window of vacation is now closed. I found out right before the end of the semester that I was not going to be able to work this summer. At first I thought it was a bad thing, but now I am thinking it may be a blessing.

This summer I have planned a ton of fun events for our youth group that will surely keep me busier than I anticipated. Tomorrow, I am starting a three hour Grad class and those always seem to be more work than I had hoped. I am also supposed to begin sitting for sections of the CPA exam in July. I have yet to apply for permission to test or begin studying. I am also working on getting some of the newer groups at the church up and running, women's group is next on the list. And lastly the plan, as it is for most summers, is to use the extra time I have to get healthier. I sense the need for a daily routine.

So, since today is my last day of vacation, I am going to enjoy it. Tomorrow I will be putting my Gossip Girl dvds away and bringing out the textbooks and planner to officially start Summer 2012.

Im Coming Home....

In June we bought a house in our hometown. I never thought I would want to own a house here, but here I am. It is definitely an upgrade from our tiny cinderblock walled apartment at ECU. The house was not in any shape to be lived in and would not have approved for the type of loan we were getting, but Micah, with the help of family and friends, worked to make the place livable. We now have 3 bedrooms 1 and a half bathrooms and a kitchen that does not double as a hallway. I am so thankful for the way we have been blessed by God. I, at the age of 21, became the owner of a house that was bigger and nicer than the house that I grew up in. I am daily amazed at how much God has given two 20 something kids from Oklahoma.
