I am a newlywed. Me and my husband are both still in college and will be for a couple more years. He is a Junior and studying Biology. I think he is on track to graduate in December 2011. I am an accounting major. I am planning on getting my masters degree in 2012. Life is pretty normal for us. Everyone keeps asking if we are liking married life and I definitely do. Its funny though because I guess when you aren't married you think that your whole life is going to be completely different the moment you say "I do", but in all reality it really isn't. I still wake up in the morning, go throughout my day breathing and blinking and then go to bed. The few changes there are seem normal. Its like getting to be with your best friend everyday. It just feels right. Like this is how it was supposed to be all along. I don't mean to sound mushy or whatever. Its just the best way I can explain it.
The worst part I think of being married is the way people look at you when they find out. They say things like "YOU are married??" or "You really aren't joking are you?". I guess people don't expect it. Like I said before those who aren't married think there will be something that distinguishes those who are married from the "normal people" like extra weight, boringness, tattoos on my forehead reading "Old Married Lady", etc. When I meet new people and they find out Im married it changes the way they look at me. There expressions read "shouldn't you be somewhere else with all the boring married people??" Haha
